I have been a Realtor for nearly 14 years. I think the secret to my success is Communication. Although I am a Colorado native, I have done a lot of moving and come in contact with all kinds of Realtors. My husband’s career necessitated over nine moves in 15 years.
While I enjoyed the excitement of a new city, new career, and new friends, I did not like the process of buying and selling a home. It was usually stressful and frustrating. I grew exasperated with Realtors who didn’t return calls, give me feedback, good advice or listen to what we needed or wanted.
My husband and I owned and operated radio stations so we were in the business of communication. We knew how important it was to keep people “in the loop”. When I returned to Colorado, I decided I wanted a new career. I had always been an investor in both residential and commercial properties, so it was an easy transition to put that knowledge to work in my career as a Realtor.
It gives me great satisfaction to help people with their real estate needs. Every person is unique, but each wants to know that they are seen as an individual with their own personalities, wants, hopes and needs. There is no one-size-fits- all template in this business, and good communication is the key to keeping my clients happy. Those clients tell me they appreciate that, as well as my expertise in negotiations, attention to detail, and my understanding of the Colorado Springs housing market.
